'The Walking Dead' S06E13 'The Same Boat' Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus Premiere Recap!

AMC continues after the midseason premiere of Season 6 of The Walking Dead. In episode 13, are Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) in The Same Boat outside of Alexandria?

During the night, Carol ends up shooting a Savior in the arm. Just when Maggie is about to rush inside, a gun is pointed at her head. Maggie and Carol are captured by Paula and Negan's female crew. Rick wants to offer a trade for one of the Saviors. Unfortunately, they're tricking Rick into thinking they're dumb, calling off his deal.  

As soon as the prisoners are brought back to the compound, Paul kills a walker in front of Maggie. In the storage room, Carol grabs hold of a cross and starts hyperventilation. Maggie doesn't know if Carol is faking or really scared at this point. After her gag is removed, Carol pleads with Paula and her crew not to harm Maggie and her baby. 

Paula has to deal with a bit of in-fighting from her own crew. Carol is left alone with Paula and attempts to get through to her. Paula won't let herself get fooled by Carol though. Maggie and the other female Savior, who's missing a finger, acknowledge neither of them is going to die tonight.

As Carol asks for a cigarette, Paula reveals what happened during the outbreak. She was a secretary to a government official when the walkers took over. She was left in a bunker, far away from her husband and four girls. She watched her own family and her boss die in the aftermath. Carol warns Paula that she is going to die if she doesn't work out something with Rick.

Paula finally makes contact with Rick and wants to make a trade. After being given directions, Rick promises to show up in 10 minutes. Paula thinks though this is too easy, wondering if it's a trap. 

After Paula leaves the room, Carol sharpens the cross and cuts herself loose. Carol then makes it to the other room and frees Maggie. Maggie wants to stay and finish the job, but Carol wants to leave. The two make a trap, using a dead Savior turned walker. With two Saviors down, Maggie and Carol finally leave the room.

After seeing the bloody floor littered with dead bodies, Paula realizes she's been tricked. With the exit covered with walkers, Carol and Maggie find themselves in a standoff with Paula. As Maggie gets cut by a female Savior, Carol steps in and pulls the trigger. 

What was Carol scared of the entire time? She was afraid of killing Paula as Carol lets her get eaten alive. Maggie and Carol trap the rest of the Saviors and burn them alive. Glenn and Maggie end up pointing their guns at each other  before she breaks down. 

Carol then watches as Rick shoots the captured Savior in the head. Her hand bleeds as she squeezes the cross tightly.
