Kate Middleton Baby Bump, Due Date: Prince William Wants to Film Royal July Birth, Pregnant Duchess Hates Idea, Baby Name Short List?

As the due date of the next royal to be born approaches, it seems like the father-to-be, Prince William, is incredibly excited for his new family to start growing. According to sources close to the royal couple, the Duke of Cambridge is hoping to film the birth of his first child, the sex of which has yet to be revealed. Unfortunately, it seems like his wife, Kate Middleton, is not exactly thrilled about the idea of a camera in the delivery room. Though, sources claim that Kate's disinterest in the idea has not deterred the Prince from trying to get the labor on film.

The 30-year-old Prince might seem a little nuts about filming the birth of his first child, but you can mainly blame this on excitement. It is a very common practice for births to be filmed, so sure, why not? But when Kate, the one who will be the primary focus for most of the filming, said she would not like a camera to be in the delivery room, he should have stopped pressing the idea. Instead, William apparently believes that he will sway his 31-year-old, pregnant wife into letting him film the royal birth.

Also, it should be mentioned that Kate's reasoning for not wanting a camera in the room is that the birth tape might eventually fall into the wrong hands. It seems like she understands Will's interest in recording the first moments of his son's or daughter's life, but if the tabloids get the incredibly private video it would be terrible.

So good luck with trying to convince Kate Middleton, who has time and time again proven to be an independent and strong woman, to concede to the filming of her first delivery. Seriously Will, you should probably just back off on this one!

As far as what the new baby might be called, it looks like if the royal baby turns out to be a prince he will most likely be named Philip after William's grandfather. What do you think of another Prince Philip?
