The highly anticipated DC flick Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is already tearing fans apart as they take sides between Ben Affleck's Dark Knight and Henry Cavill's Man of Steel. Now it looks like even the superheroes are choosing between Batman and Superman. But which side will Grant Gustin's Barry Allen/The Flash be on?
The cast of The Flash has just made their choice in a new video released by The CW in support of BvS, and it certainly looks like Superman has more fans. Gustin immediately chose the Kryptonian, stating that "Batman's great, but Superman is gonna kick his ass." Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow, said that there is a possibility that the Caped Crusader's gadgets "could fail him" and decided to go with Kal-El as well. Carlos Valdez also chose Superman because he's "the sexier of the two" while Jesse L. Martin simply stated that Batman only has "toys."
This doesn't mean that Bruce Wayne doesn't have any supporters in The Flash. Series newcomer Keiynan Lonsdale said that Batman could "have something up his sleeve" and Candice Patton, who portrays Iris West, immediately chose Batman because he doesn't need superpowers, since he uses his intellect to defeat his opponents. She did comment that Superman looks good in tights, but still sticks with the Dark Knight.
Although it may look like Superman could win when it comes to popularity, the new international BvS trailer shows that Batman might actually be able to beat the Kryptonian. The new footage reveals an extension of the scene showing Batffleck blocking Superman's punch, revealing that the Caped Crusader actually head-butts (!) the Kryptonian. Get a glimpse of the action below.
