Kanye West is being sued - and it has nothing to do with future baby mama, Kim Kardashian. Apparently, part of West's hit 2005 tune "Gold Digger" samples David Pryor's obscure 1974 song "Bumpin' Bus Stop," and Pryor's kids want some of the rapper's profits. Several years after "Gold Digger" hit the airwaves, Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor have now requested a judge to STOP sales of the mega-hit single. Do fans think they'll receive any payout?
As TMZ reports, West is being sued over a few obscure seconds of the "Gold Digger" opening which allegedly features David Pryor's voice from "Bumpin' Bus Stop," a song released by the band Thunder & Lightening. 13 seconds into West's No. 1 track, fans can hear what's allegedly Pryor's voice crooning, "Get down/Get down/Get down" (echoing the rapper's "Get Down Girl/Get Down/Get Down").
