Kate Middleton, Kim Kardashian, Due Date: Reality Star Writes and Sends Gift to Pregnant Duchess Over Shared July Births, Baby Bump Fashion News

Pregnant reality star Kim Kardashian recently found out about her similar due date (just two weeks apart) with the pregnant Kate Middleton. Though many may argue against it, the 32-year-old Kim feels that she and Kate share a similar fashion sense and somewhat of a bond because of their pregnancies. So Kim reached out to the 31-year-old royal, sending her a letter of good wishes.

According to a source close to Kim, who is pregnant with rapper and producer Kanye West's child, the reality star was excited to hear that her child will be sharing a close birthday with the future King or Queen of England.

"When Kim found out the pair had similar due dates, she got incredibly excited," the source said. "She had her PA write a kind, warm note to Kate, enclosing a gift for the heir to the throne and explaining that they were both due in July.

"Kim has now employed an astrologer in Paris to draw up all the qualities of a 2013 Cancerian baby and is busy sourcing all the icons associated with Cancer the crab for the baby's room.

"It will also be decorated with rubies and moonstones which are Cancerian gems. This was a piece of advice she was particularly keen to relay to the Duchess of Cambridge and was a little saddened not to have received an immediate response."

Both Kim and Kate announced their pregnancies within a few days of each other but after that their experiences have differed. Kate was hospitalized with extreme morning sickness early in her pregnancy but emerged radiant and carrying out her royal duties with an ever-present sense of style. Her baby bump has been taking over tabloids since she has been keeping it fashionably covered this whole time. Kim, however, has been sporting "billowing maxi dressed, leather leggings and harem pants."

So, yes, some might argue that the two do not share the same fashion sense, but the gesture from Kardashian to Middleton was still a pleasant pregnancy news update on both sides. Buckingham Palace has yet to comment on the letter from the reality star, which, according to the source, has saddened Kim.
