The Pittsburgh Penguins vs. the Carolina Hurricanes battle it out on the ice at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:00 p.m. ET. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Tuesday evening hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
The Penguins head into Tuesday night's game as the no 1 team in the NHL Eastern Conference. Pittsbrugh snags the overall no 2 spot in the division, with a 29-10-0 record. According to ESPN sports columnist Scott Burnside, "Speaking of which, the Penguins saw their assault on history come to a crashing end last week with Buffalo ending their 15-game winning streak and the Rangers whipping them 6-1 the next night. Marc-Andre Fleury rebounded nicely, though, and led Pittsburgh to a 2-1 shootout victory Friday with newcomer Jussi Jokinen having an immediate impact.
The Hurricanes snag the no 13 spot in the NHL Eastern Conference, and the no 23 overall spot with a 16-20-2 record (out of 30 teams). As Burnside points out, "Wow, talk about the bottom falling out on a team. The Canes have one win in 12 as they can't stop opposing teams from scoring and can't score on their own. That's a recipe for disaster. Now in the hunt for a top draft pick instead of a division title."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels ROOT and FS-CR, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 105.9 The X, 970 ESPN, 99.9 The Fan, and CBS Sports.
