After a post-"WrestleMania 29" "Monday Night Raw" that may go down as one of WWE's hottest shows ever, will "Friday Night Smackdown" be able to follow in its footsteps? "Raw's" crowd from New Jersey's Izod Center was one of the hottest crowds in recent memory. "Smackdown's" tapings Tuesday night were taped in Boston, MA which usually has a pretty good crowd. If you don't want to read spoilers on what happens this Friday you should stop reading now. There also are some rumors surrounding Undertaker and CM Punk below.
The show starts off with Big E Langston coming out and mocking Ricardo Rodriguez. He then announced Dolph Ziggler to a big pop from the crowd. They have to just turn Ziggler into a good guy right? Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger come out demanding a title shot, which really makes no sense since he just lost to Alberto Del Rio two nights in a row. Del Rio then comes out wanting a title shot, but he is interrupted by Chris Jericho who demands the same. A main event match is made for later in the night between Ziggler and Jericho.
Team Hell No beat the Primetime Players Darren Young and Titus O'Neil in the first match of the night. The Shield then cut a promo on Daniel Bryan and Kane. There is a backstage segment involving Booker T, Teddy Long, Randy Orton, and Sheamus. Booker T makes a handicap match later in the night between Orton and Sheamus against the Big Show.
In the night's next two matches, Wade Barrett beat Santino Marella, while the Bella Twins and Tamina Snuka defeated Kaitlyn, Cameron, and Naomi. In the next segment, Triple H comes out and talks about his "WrestleMania 29" match with Brock Lesnar. 3MB interrupts Triple H, but they are then attacked by The Shield who surround the ring. Team Hell No comes out and chases off The Shield. In what seems like a pretty funny segment, Daniel Bryan tries to hug Triple H, who isn't having any of it. Then reportedly Vince McMahon comes out and teases a group hug before leaving. I'm not sure if this entire segment will make it to TV or if it was just for the live crowd.
Big Show faces Orton and Sheamus in the next match of the night. Orton and Sheamus get the upper hand on Big Show before he decides to just leave and get counted out. Kofi Kingston then defeats Antonio Cesaro in a non-title match.
Before the main event, Fandango comes out to sit ringside for Jericho versus Ziggler. Fandango distracts the referee as Big E lays out Jericho, allowing Ziggler to get the pin. Jericho attacks Big E, before Fandango distracts Jericho allowing Ziggler to hit his main move on Jericho. The night ends with Fandango hitting a leg drop on Jericho.
Sounds like it was a pretty good show as WWE continues its momentum post-WrestleMania. In other WWE news, according to F4Wonline.com, Undertaker is not expected to wrestle on any upcoming shows despite the segment with The Shield Monday night. PWInsider is also reporting that CM Punk was kept off "Raw" because they didn't want Punk to get a lot of cheers from the post-WrestleMania crowd.
