It's been nearly two decades since Fran Fine and Maxwell Sheffield walked off into the sunset together at the end of the CBS sitcom The Nanny. While the show lives on in syndication, its zany characters are well missed ... and in a recent outing, three of its stars met up: Fran Drescher, Charles Shaughnessy and Drescher's TV mom, Renee Taylor.
Last week, Taylor celebrated her 83rd birthday with TV family to celebrate along with her! In a sweet series of Facebook posts, Shaughnessy (Maxwell Sheffield) shared a few snaps of the Nanny mini-reunion.

Even though the show ended in 1999, it seems the cast remains close years later. When Drescher launched another sitcom, Happily Divorced, Oscar nominee Taylor had a recurring role as Marilyn, while Shaughnessy also made an appearance. He'd also popped as her ex-husband in a previous series, Living with Fran.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, in the time since the show ended, the majority of the cast also went back to the characters for a 2004 reunion, The Nanny Reunion: A Nosh to Remember, which aired on Lifetime.
The Nanny, which was co-created by Drescher and then-husband Peter Marc Jacobson, ran from 1993 and 1999, and it revolved about an eponymous nanny, a street-smart Jewish woman from Queens, Fran, living in the house of a millionaire Broadway producer and taking care of his three children. She wins the hearts of the children and then their father, and they play cat-and-mouse for the better part of the show until finally getting married, having twins and moving to Los Angeles with the rest of the family.
Madeline Zima, who'd grow up to be in projects like the David Duchovny-led Californication, started out in the show as the youngest Sheffield child, Gracie.
