With "American Idol's" results show taking place tonight (Thursday, April 11) one more singer will be sent home. The top 6 contestants sang Wednesday night and gave one last effort to try and convince fans that they should stay on the show. Who will make it to the top 5 of season 12 of "American Idol?" This season has been a tale of two genders. The females have dominated season 12, with just one male singer left on the show. That male singer, Lazaro Arbos, may be the next singer sent packing.

You could argue that Arbos isn't even the best male singer on season 12. In fact, I think a lot of people would say Curtis Finch Jr. and Burnell Taylor were actually better singers than Arbos. However, Arbos has become a fan favorite, not unlike Sanjaya a few years ago. Arbos has overcome a stutter and confidence issues to make it to the top 6. Fans, seem to have rallied behind him, as they continue to vote him back. Despite being the underdog of season 12, it looks like his time may have finally come.

The only other singer left on the show who may be in danger is country singer Janelle Arthur. Outside of Arbos and Arthur, there are a clear cut top four singers this season. Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Angie Miller, and Amber Holcomb have all consistently been the top singers this season and all deserve to be in the top four. Until "American Idol" gets down to those four, it really shouldn't be a question of who goes home. It's Arbos' time.

On last night's "American Idol" Arbos delivered what Randy Jackson suggested was the worst performance ever on the show. Arbos' performance of the Carpenters "(They Long to Be) Close to You" was panned by the judges Wednesday night. Take into mind, this comes after Arbos and other singers have forgotten the lyrics to songs on numerous occasions this season. The judges even seem to pushing fans to vote Arbos out and let the top 5 females battle it out to see who will win season 12.

Do you think Lazaro Arbos will be voted off "American Idol" Thursday night? If not, who do you think will be going home?
