Apparently, 98 Degrees crooner Nick Lachey thinks that getting too close to songstress Taylor Swift only means bad news for any young guy in a boy band. During a recent MTV interview, Lachey warned fellow male pop stars to "stay away" from the stunning "Red" starlet, or she might write a hit (yet derogatory) song about you! Hmm, is this what Lachey thinks about his ex-wife, Jessica Simpson? Meanwhile, Harry Styles still remains the victim of Haylor-themed love jokes... especially coming from his fellow One Direction band mates! Read on for more details.

During MTV News' exclusive interview, the heartthrobs of 98 Degrees shared some "words of wisdom" with young boy bands such as One Direction and The Wanted. "Enjoy the ride" and "surround yourselves with good people" were some basic ideas, but Lachey had something else to add to the convo:

"And stay away from Taylor Swift! She'll write a song about you..."

Apparently following the clip, Lachey also exclaimed, "Oh! I'm too late on that one. I didn't get to [that advice] fast enough. [The song will] be a hit, but it will be about you."

Ouch! Swift can't seem to get a break when it comes to her playboy-esque status in Hollywood!

And although both Swift and Styles have moved on from their short-lived romance, the English crooner's band mates won't seem to let him live it down. During a concert in Newcastle on April 8, 1D was performing their hit tune "Little Things" when Styles began singing the lyrics, "I'm in love with you..." In the background, the other boys can be heard yelling "Taylor Swift!" as Styles belts out the words. Check it out:

So what do fans think, were Lachey's words of advice against Swift a little too harsh?
