The new teaser for Preacher has just been released, and it puts the focus on the supporting characters of AMC's new comic book show adaptation. In addition to offering a hint on how a strange entity finds Dominic Cooper's Jesse Custer, there's a quick look at Ruth Negga's Tulip O'Hare in action as well as a glimpse at the aptly-named Arseface (Ian Colletti)!

The teaser opens with Jesse looking like he feels an uneasy presence as he announces, "Something got loose... we don't know how." The strange entity is also hinted upon as it makes its way across a field, and there is a shot of Joseph Gilgun's Cassidy with a face covered in blood as he deals with a bad guy in an airplane.

The supporting cast gets a few moments of glory, but the teaser's most interesting addition is the iconic face of Jesse's unfortunate young friend whose name describes exactly what he looks like. In the Garth Ennis comic books, Arseface initially goes after Jesse after the death of his sheriff father, which he blames on the preacher. After a confusing standoff, Jesse decides to befriend the disfigured boy.

There is a possibility that Arseface (whose real name is Eugene) will appear later in Preacher, but his brief moment in the teaser already hints that there will be more interesting characters that will show up in the AMC series.

Preacher is being developed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The show will also star W. Earl Brown as Arseface's father Sheriff Root, Derek Wilson as Donnie Schenck, Lucy Griffiths as Emily, Tom Brooke as Fiore and Anatol Yusef as DeBlanc. Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley will appear as Quentin Quincannon. The series is scheduled to air on AMC on May 22.
