In an interview with LA LA Film, the Tron: Legacy actor describes his co-star, "Oscar is fantastic, it's the second film we've done together. We've been great buddies for the last five years, so we've really been looking for something to do together and it's been great to be able to have this as a situation - a Bill Monahan script. One of the best things about it is we're such good friends, playing psychological enemies, but at the same time just two guys you really want to be best friends."
The crime thriller comes from the mind of William Monahan, who wrote the Oscar-winning script to Infernal Affairs remake. After winning the Academy Award, The Kingdom of Heaven scribe stepped behind the camera for Mojave.
In an interview with Rama Screen, Monahan dishes on his Departed reunion with Mark Wahlberg in the flick, "Well, I'm just happy he came in and did it. It's all him. He came in and he saw the part, he came in and he did it as a favor to me and he did it brilliantly, I think it was actually one of the funniest things he's ever done. We met on 'The Departed' and I just adore the man, I think he's phenomenally talented."
Mojave is in stores now on DVD and Blu-Ray.
