As the finale season of American Idol draws to a close, Keith Urban expressed his feelings towards his fellow lineup of judges and revealed that he will be missing working with Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr.
“Oh man! The camaradarie, during the audition songs was always the most fun for me. Which was always the longest hours on set, but hanging with Harry and Jen was always like summer camp!” Urban told Hollywood Life in an exclusive interview.
When asked if he will be keeping in touch with Lopez and Connick, the 48-year-old singer said, “Yes!” He that shared that, “It is more family than friendship, so that will continue after for me!”

But Urban shouldn't feel sad that the hit show has ended because Simon Fuller, the genius behind American Idol, has revealed that he is already working on a comeback version, but this time he is planning to make some changes.
“The next generation of Idol — and Idol will certainly be coming back for sure — will have a youthful glow, and it will be pioneering again, just as it was when we first began,” Fuller told The Hollywood Reporter.
This isn’t just an idea for the television producer, he noted that there’s actually “no doubt” that there will be “another format or refinement or elevation of the format.” However, he revealed that this will not be the Idol that fans have known and loved for the past 15 years.
"Now I can actually revamp it and come up with a new version," he said. "And we can look back on 15 seasons and think of some legitimate ways to allow people to enjoy them again, maybe adding another dimension to it."
