Making A Murderer has left fans in anticipation to see what is next for Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey. The Manitowoc County men who were found guilty for the rape, murder and dismemberment of photographer Teresa Halbach have been behind bars for quite fighting to prove their innocence. Things have taken a turn for the better and Avery may be released without a trial.
Avery's defense attorney Kathleen Zellner has been hard at work in an attempt to prove Avery's innocence. Since the debut of the Netflix series, many people were left with unanswered questions as to why Avery and Dassey were convicted with such circumstantial and planted evidence. Luckily for the two men, they have the right people on their side.
According to Rolling Stone, Zellner is prepared to show evidence that will exonerate Avery and keep him out of the courtroom.
The site reports that Halbach's cellphone records that were used by the prosecution to corroborate their timeline for the murder are inconsistent. Zellner alleges that the cellphone tower pings contradict claims of Halbach's last location before her phone was shut off. Zellner says that the last call Halbach's phone received went through a cell tower located 12 miles from the Avery Salvage Yard.

"It's absolutely shocking to see cellphone records that were part of the discovery that were turned over to the defense document her route leaving the property", Zellner tells Newsweek. " It's really hard to figure out how in the world did the defense not seize this. It would have created reasonable doubt."
Many people after watching the Netflix series have said that evidence was planted. Zellner also believes that Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department officers planted physical evidence directly linking Avery to the crime. Zellner believes without a doubt that her own tests will uncover proof that her client was framed.
"They used forensic science to convict Avery, and I'd be using it to convict them of planting the evidence," Zellner shares.
The blood found in Halbach's car could prove that it came from a vial of Avery's blood held in the county clerk's office. Although an FBI expert asserted that he had tested three blood samples from Halbach's car and did not detect EDTA, an independent test can prove otherwise especially because the initial test was executed in a rush.
Tunnel vision clear in TH case. No DNA taken except from SA family. No need to take DNA from others when planted. #MakingAMurderer

Prosecution:"we can't prove why TH was killed by SA." Too bad investigators overlooked why others might have killed her.#MakingAMurderer

Someone else is guilty of the murder and Zellner is ready to prove it. From the beginning of the investigation police never considered other possible suspects. Avery's original attorneys in the case Jerry Buting and Dean Strang were denied the right to present evidence that someone else could have killed Halbach. Zellner has already come forward explaining that there are additional suspects one in particular that may possibly be responsible that she is well aware of.
