Yolanda Foster’s divorce from David Walter Foster came as a shock to her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars and fans alike, but perhaps the person it shocked most was the mother of Victoria's Secret model Gigi Hadid herself.
During an interview Tuesday on Watch What Happens Live, the 52-year-old TV personality admitted to host Andy Cohen that she was actually blindsided by the end of her marriage with musician David Foster.
“Yeah, I didn’t think that was the end of the road,” she told Cohen. “I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well.”
But after four years of marriage, the couple is now announcing their split. The pair has been through so much, especially with Yolanda’s ongoing battle against Lyme Disease. He always seemed so supportive of her too. But the couple have decided to part ways in a sad and shocking new announcement.
“Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues,” the couple said in a joint statement.
"We are grateful for the years we've spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best. I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we've learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another."
Yolanda has been battling Lyme Disease since 2012, a crisis that struck within the first year of her marriage to David. In a previous appearance on WWHL, Yolanda admitted that her disease “changed the dynamic” of the marriage, but clearly she didn’t think her relationship would completely crumble.
