The Giants head into the 2013 regular season at the no 5 spot - as sports columnist Chris Quick points out, "It's extremely early, but postseason hero Marco Scutaro's slow start -- 2-for-23 with no extra-base hits and back issues -- is a tad concerning for a 37-year-old infielder." 

The Giants currently hold a 7-4 winning record, having played the LA Dodgers, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Colorado Rockies. San Fran proved victorious in Game 1 against Chicago with a score of 7-6.

The Cubs snag the meager no 27 overall spot (out of 30 teams). According to Joe Aiello, "While it's easy to focus on the struggles and demotion of Carlos Marmol from the closer's role, it's more important to note that going into Sunday's game, the rotation was 2-2 with an ERA of 2.08 and an opponent batting average against of .157."

The Cubs currently hold a 4-6 winning record having played the Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, and Milwaukee Brewers. Chicago won Game 2 of the series against San Fran with a score of 4-3.

The ball game will be broadcasted live on FOX, but fans can listen in on the radio at KCS 1300, KNBR, CBS, WGN, WSCR, and ESPN 1050.
