The Baltimore Orioles battle the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the series on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4:05 p.m. ET at Yankees Stadium in Bronx, NY. Heading into the end of Week 2 of the MLB 2013 regular season, ESPN sports analysts predict the season outlook team power rankings. The Orioles currently rank the no 8 overall team. As sports columnist Jon Shepherd points out, "The heroics of Chris Davis' four home runs (one in each of the Orioles' first four games) has helped overcome the poor performances from their starting rotation. Now, off to Boston and New York for a six-game trip, the rest of the team will need to show up."
Baltimore currently holds a 5-5 winning record, having just played the Tamp Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, and Boston Red Sox.
The Yankes snag the no 23 overall spot (out of 30 teams). According to Rob Abruzzese, "It was obvious with all of their injuries that the Yankees would start slowly, but a poor first week from Robinson Cano and the pitching staff meant that it was an even worse week than some of the more optimistic fans expected."
After playing the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, and Cleveland Indians, NY has five wins and four losses. Yanks proved victorious over the Orioles in Game 1 with a score of 5-2.
The ball game will be broadcasted live on local channels MASN and YES, but fans can listen in on the radio at WBAL, WSPZ 570, CBS, and ESPN NY.
