Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Welcome Baby Girl: Couple Name Their Daughter Something Unique!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are officially parents! The couple welcomed a baby girl last week and named their daughter something very unique!

Revealing the exciting news on social media Sunday, the couple announced that their daughter's name was  Luna Simone Stephens. Baby Stephens was born on Thursday, April 14. She weighed 6lbs and 11oz, shown on the snapshot below.

"She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy," the new mom wrote in the Instagram caption.

Papa bear also announced the news of his daughter's birth tweeting: "Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn't be happier!"

MStars News previously learned that Teigen and Legend struggled to have a baby in the past. The couple tied the knot back in 2013 and had to use IVF treatments to get pregnant.

Teigen faced controversy after revealing that she picked the sex of her child. "Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl," the model said earlier this year.

She also revealed that she wanted more kids in the future to join her daughter. "The number of embryos we have left is not matching the number of people I want at my dinner table, so I'll have to do it again," Teigen said. "I wish I had frozen my eggs earlier. We have a few more on ice. Who knows what will work?"
