Taylor Swift Debuts New Look at Coachella 2016: Bleached Hair & Dressed-Down

Taylor Swift looked unrecognizable on the night of April 17 as she headed from the Coachella grounds to the Neon Carnival in Indio, California. Rocking golden Converse and a simple tee, there's just something about Coachella that encourages stars to try out something new and the "Bad Blood" hitmaker was no exception with her new bleached hair.

The 26-year-old singer loves dressing up and she enjoys wearing anything sparkly but she took things down several notches to relax and enjoy her weekend at Coachella.

The star wore an oversized grey tee, with a black miniskirt and those seriously cool sneakers. Rocking a spiked necklace, blue nails, and red lipstick, the entire outfit paired with her new peroxide blonde locks.

Swift had bleached hair for the cover of Vogue and it looks like she decided to go back to that style for her weekend at the festival.

The magazine’s editor in chief, Anna Wintour, spoke about Swift’s edgier 'do during a Thursday appearance on the Today Show. "We very much wanted to give Taylor a new look. Make her into a rock 'n' roll chick,” Wintour said of Swift's new 'do. "We love the way she looks. We think she looks young and modern and different.”

“BLEACHELLA,” Swift captioned a shot of herself with platinum blonde tresses. She rocked her new look for Coachella 2016, the famed music festival where her boyfriend, Calvin Harris, performed.

“Taylor is super excited that she can support Calvin this weekend and give him her undivided attention at Coachella,” a source previously told Hollywood Life. “She’s so proud of him and is looking forward to watching him perform, and to dancing to his music. She’s also happy that the tables are turned for this event and that all eyes will be on Calvin rather than solely on her.”
