Over the weekend, Joe Manganiello canceled an appearance at a charity event after struggling with some unnamed issues. Last week, he also stepped down from an upcoming series on the History Channel called Six because of his mysterious medical problems. Now, we're learning a little more about what's wrong with the Magic Mike XXL star.
A source told TMZ that Manganiello had a very scary health crisis on April 15 when he was admitted to the hospital for appendicitis, but it turned out to be even worse than doctors suspected, leading to a terrifying emergency surgery.

The 39-year-old actor is reportedly doing okay now, but he’s currently still in the hospital. This isn’t the only health issue Manganiello has been dealing with either. He also ripped a bicep on the set of Magic Mike which has created ongoing problems for him.
However, Sofia Vergara's husband's rep said that it was his "chronic condition" that forced him to cancel a charity gala on Sunday, April 17. At the time, the rep said that Joe canceled the event at the last minute due to "health issue."
Fashion designer John Varvatos, who invited the couple to the event, explained to Entertainment Tonight at the time, "Basically they just couldn't make it because [he] is recovering." He then added, "We thank him for all his support that he's given us and, most importantly, to get well soon because he's such a wonderful guy. I don't know a lot about it other than that he's had a little bit of a health problem. We wish him the best.
Despite the horrifying medical emergency, both Manganiello and Vergara, have stayed quiet on social media.
