Reports confirm that "Bat Out of Hell" rocker Meat Loaf was forced to cancel a gig on his "Last At Bat" U.K. farewell tour just hours before taking the stage in Nottingham on Sunday, April 14. The popular "Rocky Horror Picture Show" star posted an official apology on Facebook, and a spokesperson for the musician said he's expected to recover for his next performance in Manchester on Wednesday.
Meat Loaf (who has been plagued with an unknown series of illnesses over the past several weeks), wrote this on his official Facebook page on Sunday:
NOTTINGHAM:
We are very sorry to announce that tonight's performance has had to be postponed due to medical reasons afflicting several members of the band.
WE WILL BE BACK THOUGH AND WILL BE BACK MONDAY MAY 20th 2013.
Please retain your original tickets, If for any reason you cannot attend, please contact the point of sale from tomorrow morning Monday 15 April.
Meat and everyone in the band and crew send love and apologies and thanks you for understanding.

The "I'd Do Anything for Love" rocker's rep would not elaborate further on the alleged widespread illness. The Nottingham concert (the fifth of eight scheduled U.K. performances) was promptly rescheduled for May 20.
After struggling with health problems over the past few years, 65-year-old Meat Loaf (real name, Marvin Lee Aday) announced that Europe's "Last At Bat" tour would be his last. He revealed to Reuters last month that he's just sick of traveling - "I outweigh (Mick) Jagger by about 100 pounds (45 kg) and that counts for something. He hasn't seen the wear and tear," he explained.
Meat Loaf is best known for his "Bat Out of Hell" album trilogy which includes "Bat Out of Hell," "Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell," and "Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose." Considered one of the biggest selling albums of all time, 1977's "Bat Out of Hell" has sold over 43 million copies worldwide and counting.
Here's to hoping the Loaf gets better soon!
