The music industry has suffered a major loss. The phenomenon that is known as Prince has passed away at Paisley Park Estate In Chanhassen. Reports are circulating that the 57-years-old musician's death is unknown.
Prince was one of the most iconic musicians of all time. His career was one that many entertainers can only dream of: seven-time Grammy winner, Oscar winner and a win over Michael Jackson at the 1985 American Music Awards. Prince was truly one of a kind.
According TMZ, Prince's body was discovered at his Paisley Park home in Minnesota early this morning. The musician's publicist confirmed the news with the Associated Press.
Prince aka Prince Rogers Nelson, was hospitalized last week after his plane was forced to make an emergency landing. Although the star was released a few hours later, it was reported that he had been battling a bad case of the flu. Despite his health concerns, Prince took the stage at a concert the next day to assure fans he was doing ok.

Prior to his most recent appearance, he had to cancel two shows due to health issues.

Over his 35-year career, Prince has sold over 100 million records and released 39 solo albums. Prince became an international superstar in 1982 after his breakthrough album "1999." He has put out four new full-length records with his latest band, 3rd Eye Girl, where he continued to experiment with psychedelic rock and funk. He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
Fans and celebrities alike are sending their condolences throughout social media.
