Last night's "Monday Night Raw" took place in Greenville, South Carolina from the Bi Lo Center. The April 15 "Raw" is WWE's first show since the viral craze of "Fandangoing" began and their new superstar Fandango really started to take off in popularity. We also get to see the return of Brock Lesnar and C.M. Punk as well as Ryback's reason for attacking John Cena last week.
The show starts off with a rematch of the last week's handicap match between Randy Orton and Sheamus against the Big Show. This time, Orton and Sheamus get the clean victory on the Big Show. 3MB come out next and demand an apology from The Shield. Unfortunately for 3MB, Brock Lesnar comes out and destroys all three of them. Paul Heyman then talks about how Lesnar and Triple H both have one victory over each other so they should have a tie breaker at the "Extreme Rules" pay-per-view in a cage match. Will Triple H accept the challenge?
Kofi Kingston faces Antonio Cesaro in the next match of the night and pulls off the upset victory to become the new U.S. Champion. Dolph Ziggler, Big E Langston, and AJ come out next to talk about Ziggler winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Unlike last week, Ziggler is not getting any cheers. Alberto Del Rio comes out limping along with Ricardo Rodriguez and demands his rematch right then. Vicki Guerrero comes out and makes the match for that moment. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter them come out and Swagger attacks Del Rio before the match can get going.
Team Hell No defeats the Primetime Players in a tag match. The big news however is the announcement that Daniel Bryan, Kane, and Undertaker will face The Shield on next week's "Raw" from England. In a taped interview Ryback explains why he attacked John Cena last week. Ryback explains that he was attacked six times by The Shield and Cena never came out to help him. Ryback says Cena got lucky when he threw him over the top rope at the Royal Rumble. Ryback goes on to say he isn't the sidekick and if Cena is Superman, Ryback is kryptonite.
In another surprising finish, R-Truth defeated Wade Barrett in a non-title match. In a backstage segment with Vickie and Brad Maddox, Teddy Long apparently went behind Booker T's back making a match between Swagger and Ziggler for later tonight. The Rhodes Scholars defeated The Great Khali and Santino Marella in the next match of the night.
Fandango is up next as he interrupts Jerry Lawler's introduction. Fandango asks the crowd who wants to go "Fandangoing" with him to an okay reaction, but nothing special. Fandango then tries to teach the crowd how to say his name correctly. Apparently Fandango wasn't impressed because he tells the crowd they can all go "Fandango" themselves and leaves.
Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler have a solid back and forth match. In a surprise, Swagger gets the pin victory over Ziggler who apparently still just loses almost every match he is in despite being the heavyweight champion. Del Rio comes out and attacks Swagger after the match, having to be restrained by referees.
Before C.M. Punk comes out, Sheamus is attacked backstage again by Mark Henry. Punk comes out and talks about pushing Undertaker to the limit at "WrestleMania 29" which prompts dueling Undertaker and Punk chants from the crowd. Punk doesn't really get to much before hugging Paul Heyman and walking out before finishing.
Before Nikki Bella picks up the victory in the night's next match when her twin sister Brie Bella gets the pin on Kaitlyn, Booker T announces a match between Swagger, Del Rio, and Ziggler but doesn't say when the match will take place.
In the final segment of the night, John Cena and Ryback square off in the ring. Cena does a lot of trash talking and Ryback never says a word before walking out. The Shield come down and attack Cena as Ryback watches from the ramp and doesn't come down to help. End of show.
