5 Possible Reasons Why 'American Idol's' Jennifer Lopez Lowered the Price on Her LA Mansion

Jennifer Lopez can't seem to unload her Los Angeles mansion. The 46-year-old former American Idol judge initially listed the 17,000-square foot home in early 2015 for $17 million. Then in September she slashed the price to $14.5 million. Now, the "First Love" songstress has lowered the price yet again to $12.5 million.

According to Variety, the "Booty" singer purchased the residence, which sits on over 3 acres, back in 2010 for $8.2 million with then husband Marc Anthony. It includes 9 bedrooms, 11 full and 2 half bathrooms, 8 fireplaces, an 8-car garage, carport, a 20-person home movie theater, a recording studio, personal gym, 35-foot long walk-in closet, library, a saloon with full bar, wine cellar, a swimming pool, spa and separate guest house.

Of course the Shades of Blue actress has added many personal touches to her household including fur throws and grand pianos. Her taste also features oak wood coffered ceilings and bay windows. The property overlooks both the San Fernado Valley and San Gabriel Mountains.

The A.K.A. vocalist hasn't confirmed if she'll purchase another California residence. In the meantime, she still owns an 8,500-square-foot mansion in the Water Mill area of the Hamptons that she bought in May 2013 for roughly $10 million. The one-time In Living Color fly girl also has a 6540-square foot penthouse in NYC's Madison Square Park which she acquired in October 2014 for just over $20 million. Her neighbors at the latter include the Democratic frontrunner's daughter, Chelsea Clinton.
