Game of Thrones Season 6 is officially back on HBO, and the show certainly didn't waste time killing off some important characters and dropping revelations about a certain beautiful priestess who is not who she appears to be. Although "The Red Woman" was a fitting start for the HBO series, a new promo for the Episode 2 teases the return of Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), a confrontation between Jaime Lannister (Nikolas Coster-Waldau) and the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) as well as a possible attack in Homeward Bound!
The promo for "Homeward Bound" opens with Bran struggling as he lies in the snow. Is he seeing what Jon Snow (Kit Harington) had seen before he died? In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) resists some soldiers, who are undoubtedly shocked by the sight of her hulking new bodyguard.
Meanwhile, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) learns from Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) that her sister Arya (Maisie Williams) is still alive. "I spent three days looking for her," Brienne says as a shot of Arya reveals that she is blindly trying to use a staff. "She just disappeared," Brienne confesses.
In Winterfell, Roose Bolton (Michael McElhatton) is clearly still unhappy with Sansa's escape, but Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) has some good news. Well, sort of, anyway. "We know where she's going," he declares before sharing his plan. "Castle Black isn't defended on the southern side. We could storm the castle."
It looks like Jaime isn't happy with the High Sparrow as he visits Myrcella Baratheon's (Nell Tiger Free) corpse. "You would spill blood in this holy place?" The High Sparrow asks as Jaime takes hold of his sword. This is probably not the best way to start an exchange with a grieving uncle/father. "God has spilled more blood than the rest of us combined," Jaime responds.
The promo ends with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) holding a torch in the dark before one of Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) dragons comes into view. Will the dragons escape from their prison?
"Homeward Bound," the second episode of Game of Thrones Season 6, will air on HBO on May 1.
