Kid Rock is sadden by the death of his personal assistant, Michael Sacha. MStars News has learned that the 30-year-old apparently died from an ATV accident on Rock's Nashville property.
According to Tennessean, Rock discovered the body of Sacha on his Whites Creek estate on Monday. Sacha had been transporting guests to Rock's property for a cookout and apparently lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed on his way back to the estate, police claimed.
In a statement Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, remembered the young man, and said that his heart was heavy for Sacha's family members.
"He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with," the rock star said. "I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I cannot imagine how they must feel."
The singer along with another person found Sacha on an embankment late Monday morning and called for help. Public information officer, Brian Haas said that the Nashville Fire Department responded to the emergency call on Monday and found the 30-year-old male lying face down on the side of a driveway.
Sacha was already dead when the fire department arrived.
Rock said he was supposed to go back to the state of Michigan, but changed his mind and decided to stay in Tennessee until "I can bring him (Sacha) home to his family."
"We've already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread," Rock said. "I'm asking everyone to please respect our and his families' privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend."
TMZ obtained the fire department audio as they were on there way to the accident. You can hear the dispatcher say they believe the "patient is beyond any help." So sad.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Rock and Sacha's family during this difficult time.
