Bollywood dazzling beauty Priyanka Chopra is making her Indian fans and country proud now that Quantico has wrapped up and Season 2 can begin production on ABC. The Former Miss World was supposed to sit next to Rosario Dawson, Neve Campbell and Morgan Freeman at the White House Correspondents' Dinner with POTUS Barack Obama but it looks like the actress has dropped out at the last moment.
Deadline reported that Chopra, who is also featuring with Dwayne Johnson in the movie adaptation of 90s hit TV series Baywatch, will not be attending the dinner party because of her hectic schedule.
"The DC shindig is just days away, but the guest list for this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner is still in flux. On the dropping-off list is Quantico's Priyanka Chopra and The Good Wife's Alan Cumming. Both have had to miss out on being USA Today's guests at the 90th annual dinner due to production scheduling issues"
The guest list from the entertainment world is keep on increasing. Suicide Squad star, Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have been confirmed to attend the Correspondents' Dinner as guests of ABC News bosses. Cheryl Boone Isaacs (AMPAS President), Chris Dodd (MPAA CEO), John Cena & Nikki Bella (WWE) and Sela Ward (Independence Day: Resurgence) will represent Fox News Channel; Kerry Washington (Scandal), Whoopi Goldberg (The View), Michelle Collins (The View) and Anthony Anderson (black-ish) will represent ABC News; whereas, Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), Kendall Jenner (Keeping Up With The Kardashians) and Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane) will represent USA Today.
The 2016 White House Correspondents' Dinner will be Obama's last correspondent dinner in the office. The event will be hosted by comedian Larry Wilmore and takes place at the Washington Hilton.
On the other hand, Chopra did not miss the opportunity to attend Time 100 Gala. During the Times' Gala time, she talked about Donald Trump's call for banning Muslims in USA. The actress was quoted as:
"I just think you can't put a ban on anyone," she said. "Generalizing a type of people is really primitive."
On the professional terms, Chopra has not signed on to do any Bollywood film after Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal. And, her Baywatch is scheduled for release on May 19, 2017.
