The Rolling Stones have been gaining momentum heading into their "50 and Counting" tour recently before they started playing any shows. Following their 50th Anniversary shows in London, New Jersey, and Brooklyn late last year, the Rolling Stones have been as in demand as any musical artist. Fans have been clamoring to see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood since they returned to the stage for a handful of shows last year. After recently announcing their 2013 North American tour dates, it seems the demand to see the legendary rockers was too great to just stand pat.
After the band's Hyde Park show sold out in just minutes, despite complaints from fans of high ticket prices, the Rolling Stones quickly decided to add a second Hyde Park date on July 13. The Rolling Stones are now set to perform at Hyde Park in the UK on July 6 and July 13. This is in addition to another England show at the Glastonbury Festival June 29.
As for the band's North American tour dates, which were announced not too long ago, it already looks like the overwhelming response is causing the band to add a number of additional dates.
The original tour dates were as follows:
May 2 (Tentaviely scheduled) - Los Angeles, STAPLES Center
May 5 - Oakland, Oracle Arena
May 8 - San Jose, HP Pavilion
May 11 - Las Vegas, MGM Grand Garden Arena
May 15 - Anaheim, Honda Center
May 25 - Toronto, Air Canada Centre
May 28 - Chicago, United Center
June 12 - Boston, TD Garden
June 18 - Philadelphia, Wells Fargo Center
Since the initial announcement of tour dates, the Rolling Stones have added additional shows in Boston on June 14, Philadelphia on June 21, Anaheim on May 18, and Los Angles on May 20. The band is also adding a concert on June 9 in Montreal. The Rolling Stones' 2013 tour continues to get busier as demand increase to see the legendary rockers in action. Could we continue to see tour dates added?
