Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth: Billy Ray Talks Marriage Chances, Possible Split Between Miley, Liam

With the ongoing saga of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's tumultuous relationship getting longer and crazier by the day, Miley's dad Billy Ray Cyrus (of "Achy Breaky Heart" fame) admits that he's not sure if marriage will ever be in the cards for the couple. He even left parts of his upcoming memoir Hillbilly Heart open-ended in case the couple splits!

"I know as I was writing the book I wanted to keep that particular moment as open-ended as possible," Bill Ray, 51, tells ABC News in a new interview. "I didn't know the answer. They're young. They're kids. The great news is, they're great friends. They're really, really good friends. If you end up getting married, that's your business too, you know?"

According to an unnamed insider who spoke Life & Style, the duo have called off their impending summer nuptials, but remain dating.

"They were supposed to get married in June," the source said. But there have been so many problems with them."

"They thought it was best to work out their issues before making such a big commitment. Everyone keeps it saying it - they're too young to be getting married."

Billy Ray is unsure if the couple will make it down the aisle.

"I don't know. I really don't," he said. "I play it by ear and I know whatever is meant to be, that's the way it's going to happen."

We can't be sure if this is what she's talking about but Miley did tweet the following on April 14:

"Dad and I are so in sync sometimes it's crazy. The book. Billy Ray Cyrus."

After Miley let Liam attend the MTV Movie awards riding solo, you have to wonder.
