THE AMERICANS Preview Episode 11 'Covert War' [VIDEO]: Elizabeth Makes Things Personal, Episode 10 'Only You' Recap (SPOILERS)

Last week's episode of FX's hit Cold War period piece drama The Americans was, for lack of a better term, brutal. As tensions mounted from the previous week's episode, "Safe House," where Amador ended up dying and being found by Beeman and the FBI, how would Elizabeth and Phillip get out of this mess in "Only You"? And with last week's resolution, is the trouble over or will the secret war turn into an actual war? (SPOILERS to follow)

Now that the FBI were searching for Amador's killer, Elizabeth and Phillip needed to act quickly but still have to deal with being separated from each other in their home life. Phillip is in a motel while Elizabeth has to deal with her depressed kids who are not happy that their father is no longer around. They reach out to "Grannie" for help.

Meanwhile, Beeman is still mourning the death of his partner. Ironically, he shows up drunk to the Phillip's motel room to share some drinks and some conversation. The next day, the FBI finds Amador's ring that he had hidden in the trunk of the car he was transported in. From there, the FBI tracks down Gregory's crewmember that Beeman recognized from earlier in the season. This time, Stan gets his man.

After finding out that the FBI found the ring and that it was only a matter of time before they figured it all out, the KGB decided to frame their agent Gregory and offer him a life in Moscow. Gregory, who is in love with Elizabeth and is the most melodramatic character on the series (sorry), decides to go out in a blaze of glory. By doing this, the FBI has now killed the man they believe killed their agent.

Events in Moscow strike a personal chord for Elizabeth, leading her to take on a dangerous mission she can't complete without Philip's help, and placing the couple on a collision course with both Grannie and the FBI.
