Disney Frozen 2 is creating a lot of buzz in the social media these days. There is no official confirmation on the release of the film so far, but fans are already speculating about Elsa's character, played by Indina Menzel. And if reports are to be believed, then Frozen's fans want Elsa to find a girlfriend for herself.
Recent speculations from hundred of Frozen fans points in the direction that suggests that the film is going to talk about the social issues like homosexuality. In an earlier interview with MTV, Frozen's co-director Chris Buck revealed that Disney is surely going to use Frozen's platform to talk about the issues that really matter to the society in which we live in.
"When the kids [watch] them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don't have a decent message in there, I think we've missed an opportunity," Buck added.
Now, it looks like Disney is more than serious to make Elsa fall in love with another girl. According to Independent, Elsa's journey has been troublesome and there have been many dark paths along her way. Now, as she has claimed her powers and has fully control over them, it is the right time when she will come out in the open and accept who she is. Frozen's mega-hit song, "Let if Go," has already become a major theme for those who believe in same-sex marriages.
These days, hundreds of fans are campaigning with #GiveElsaAGirlfriend in a hope that Disney will take their views seriously and implement it's own first princess, who has openly accepted her physical desires.
#GiveElsaAGirlfriend because it would be a huge step towards queer kids feeling loved and accepted from a young age

#GiveElsaAGirlfriend because 1 in 5 kids are queer, but only 1 in 10 feel safe enough to come out. — mia (@miaafame) May 1, 2016
#GiveElsaAGirlfriend normalising a f/f relationship will help queer young kids accept & understand their sexuality, that rep is so important

A gay Disney princess would have helped me feel so much more normal when I was younger. Representation is important. #GiveElsaAGirlfriend — jordan (@thejordanthrash) May 1, 2016
In an earlier interview with Collider, the 35-year-old Kristen Bell, who provides the voice of Princess Anna, revealed that the story of Frozen 2 is going to be great.
"It took them [writers] a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it."
If Bell has hinted about Elsa's coming-out character, then Frozen 2 is surely going to be one of its kind movie.
