Gotham S02E20: Unleashed Robin Lord Taylor, Ben McKenzie Premiere Recap

Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, with Wrath of the Villains. In episode 20, Unleashed, can Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) handle Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong)?

Bullock (Donal Logue) and Gordon shows up at Arkham to confront Strange. Theo Galavan's dead body was supposed to be cremated. Strange was already shredded the documents and gotten rid of the evidence. After seeing the secret lab, Edward (Corey Michael Smith) realizes he desperately needs to get out of the Asylum. 

Azrael shows up at a church and kills the priest. Barnes (Michael Chiklis) is in the hospital as Penguin is all dressed up. Without their captain, Bullock has to stand up and led the police force. Gordon and Bullock realize they have to meet with Tigress (Jessica Lucas). 

Bruce (David Mazouz) wants to get involved but Alfred (Sean Pertwee) doesn't want him to get hurt. Gordon interrogates Tigress, who's scared of her brother. She remembers stories of a 300 year old mythical figure, an ancient legend, known as Azrael. Someone got inside Theo's head and it's not a safe place to be.

Tigress knows the real sword in her grandfather's coffin at Gotham cemetery. Bruce then meets with Selina (Camren Bicondova) and reveals what happened to Bridget. She could still be alive somewhere in Arkham. Bruce and Selina have to break-in Arkham to find out the truth. Selina knows a better way into the looney bin.

At the cemetery, Gordon breaks into the crypt with Tigress and Bullock. After removing the lid, they find the Azrael's sword inside the coffin. Azrael shows up and beats the crap out of Gordon. Tigress tries to talk to her brother, unmasks him, and reminds jim of their childhood. 

Theo remembers Bruce Wayne and stabs Tigress with the sword. While Selina dives into the trash, Gordon steals the car and diverse towards Wayne manor. At Arkham, Selina climbs put he wall and breaks through the vents. Alfred finally answers the phone and almost stabs Bruce.  

Selina and Edward cross paths in the ventilation system. She wants to go to the basement but he wants to get the hell out of there. Butch (Drew Powell) is by Tigress' side at the hospital. Penguin laughs as he sees Butch crying. Butch points a gun at Penguin and promises to kill him if he touches Tigress.

Penguin doesn't want Tigress, he wants Theo dead. Penguin promises to leave the couple alone if he finds out where Galavan is. Azrael is already at Wayne Manor though. With the guards looking for Nygma, Selina picks the lock and gets inside the elevator. 

Alfred fights Azrael, telling Bruce to run. Alfred almost has him beat but Azrael throws him out the window. As Selina overhears Strange's confession, she sees someone who looks lke a mix of Killer Croc and Solomon Grundy. 

In the garage, Bruce steals a car and drives past Azrael. Just when Azrael is about to kill the boy, Gordon shoots him down.  After Azrael stands, Penguin and Butch show up with a bazooka!

Selina finds herself trapped by Firefly.
