Patton Oswalt has been all over the Internet this week. Though he is an exception comedian with a successful career, not a lot of people knew about him until he posted a poignant reaction posts on Twitter and Facebook about the Boston Marathon bombings on Monday. After that, he was featured in a viral Batman video as the Penguin, which was just funny and now he is set to guest star on NBC's hit show "Parks and Recreation." Not only does he guest star, he manages to out-nerd himself in a citizen's filibuster sequence.

Tomorrow night on NBC, "Parks and Recreation" will air two back-to-back episodes. Oswalt is set to cameo during a community hearing where his character decides to hold a citizen's filibuster in order to stop legislation on something he disagrees with. Now this is a pretty big television show with a very wide viewership, so people might not get what Oswalt did in order to make the filibuster last.

To be blunt, he basically dropped as many comic book and Star Wars references that he could while still maintaining a central theme. That theme happened to be the upcoming 2015 release of a seventh Star Wars film. This is something that Oswalt talks a lot about otherwise so given that he was getting paid for it made it somewhat better.

Most of Oswalt's stand up material is based around the "nerd culture." So when he starts outlining his ideas for the new sci-fi film, it gets a little out of hand. Clearly meant as a long series of jokes, Oswalt starts his version of the film off in a normal way but then goes off the rails. He manages to work in the Marvel Universe and Greek mythology, thus incorporating at least three movie franchises.

Here is the gloriously nerdy filibuster that was all one take and apparently improvised by the famous stand up comedian:
