With Season 6 currently gaining momentum, HBO is releasing Season 3 and 4 of Game of Thrones in collectible Steelbook packaging. Check out Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) in their Collector's Edition Blu-ray sets.
The Steelbook contains feature art designed by Elastic, the agency responsible for the series' award-winning opening credits. Each Steelbook showcases a specific location related to that particular season and includes usable magnets in the packaging. These new editions come with revolutionary new audio technology Dolby Atmos.
From the Game of Thrones sigils and symbols, the freshmen season featured Winterfell and the sophomore season focused on the Lannisters in King's Landing. The third season will feature the magnet sigil of House Frey and their ancestral seat of the Twins. If you remember, this was location of the infamous Red Wedding. The icy landscape of Castle Black and the Wall, when the Night's Watch fought off the army of Wildlings, highlights the season 4 packaging. A crow and Jon Snow's sword, Longclaw, are the usable magnets here.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-showrunner David Benioff describes his favorite part about third season, "This season we got a battle that will hopefully surpass the Blackwater battle - and it still might not be our biggest episode of the season. There are episodes that are just as challenging in terms of the effects demands and - maybe not the quantity of action - but the complexity of the action. We always before had breathing-room episodes."
