Jay-Z and Beyoncé's fifth year wedding anniversary trip to Cuba brought negative attention to couple as Republicans blasted the power couple for visiting the communist country. Jay-Z responded with even more controversy is his "Open Letter," song. Now President Obama had the final say on the issue on the Today Show, reminding the nation that "we've got better things to do to."
In "Open Letter," Jay-z blasted the public for questioning he and his wife's trip to Cuba, but it was his mention of Obama that caught the media's attentions. Jay-Z rapped "Obama said, 'Chill you're going to get me impeached' / You don't need this s**t anyway, chill with me on the beach."
However, with all that is really going on in America, from Boston Marathon bombing, to the gun control debate, plant explosion in Texas, and the lingering threat of a North Korean strike, Obama has better things to do than to keep up with the whereabouts of Hov and Bey.
Obama sat down with Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show. When Guthrie asked him about the Cuban controversy, he told her, "I wasn't familiar that they were taking the trip," the president said. "My understanding is I think they went through a group that organizes these educational trips down to Cuba. You know, this is not something the White House was involved with. We've got better things to do."
Well there you have it.
