It's been barely a few days since Netflix released new footage for their three next Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders, and while so far they look amazing, this also means we won't get new seasons of beloved shows Daredevil and Jessica Jones for a while -- and the streaming giant is officially not picking up Agent Carter.

According to Comic Book, just days after Comic-Con, Netflix spoke a little further about when to expect the next batch of MCU shows on the platform. Following the success of the first two seasons of Daredevil and the first of Jessica Jones, Marvel Studios will now be focusing on introducing the two remaining superheroes: after the September release of Luke Cage (with Mike Colter reprising his role), the next scheduled release is Iron Fist.

Originally, the plan was to have four stand-alone series to introduce the four main Defenders, but the success of the first season of Daredevil prompted a release of a second one, delaying production for the rest for a few months. Now, it seems like the Krysten Ritter-led Jessica Jones will film back-to-back with The Defenders, and there's even a possibility that Marvel will launch three shows next year.

In any case, production for the third season of Daredevil and the first of The Punisher (a show that was announced after Jon Bernthal's amazing performance in the role earlier this year) won't start until at least 2017. Of course, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will be a crucial part of The Defenders, so it's not like we won't see any of Daredevil -- and if the evasive words of Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos are to be interpreted, we might also get Frank Castle in the mix of Manhattan superheroes.

While things are brewing in Hell's Kitchen, it seems the one canceled show from Marvel TV is definitely gone now. Months back, when ABC announced there'd be no Season 3 of their period series Agent Carter, there was a movement, including star Hayley Atwell, to try to get Netflix to pick up the show, but it's official now: we have seen the last of Peggy Carter on her stand-alone show.

"We're looking for truly original brands to own," Sarandos told Entertainment Weekly recently, "and in that Marvel space we already have [original comic book shows] -- so that was mostly why."

The next Marvel Netflix series, Luke Cage, will premiere on Sept. 30.
