While the Real Housewives of New Jersey has moved on from it's season six cast, replacing all but two of the ladies, it seems that old cast members are still getting in on the drama. Turns out last season breakout star and husband to Amber Marchese, Jim Marchese, who was part of a lot of the dramatic storylines last year, doesn't seem too happy that his former co-star Teresa Giudice has returned to the small screen.
According to Radar Online, Marchese and his wife Amber, said that they didn't want to do the show any longer due to Giudice's criminal past.
"They really crafted it to be a story around Teresa Giudice and we were really brought in for the purpose of being around that storyline," the househusband explained. "And so that was the direction, and for me, I didn't know these people. I would have no reason to talk to them, to interact with them other than the fact that that was our job for the show."
Jim explained that his wife was "looking forward" to doing a second season of the show, but mentioned that if they were to ask her back it would have had to be without him, because he didn't want to be part of the series.
"Amber was looking forward to possibly doing season two," the CEO of MortgageNOW explained, according to Bustle. "We obviously wanted her to be treated better, but we were told 'yeah you take your knocks year one' and there was a potential. But I told them with no uncertain terms I would not be back on the show if they were gonna glamorize Teresa. She's a felon. She's a criminal."
He also said that Bravo was at fault for the way that they portrayed Giudice's homecoming, including the moment when she had a brand new car waiting for her in the driveway.
"They did exactly what I thought they were going to do. They glamorized her - I mean she had a new Lexus in the driveway," Jim stated, according to AllThingsRH.com. "You shouldn't glamorize a criminal! You just shouldn't."
