Britney Spears is a Goddess of the stage, as the star has been in the business for well over 15 years, but the Glory songstress does say that there are some things that still make her nervous. One of them is taking the VMA stage, which she is doing this Sunday. The star has done it all, but says that it is there is something about the MTV Video Music Awards stage that still gets the nerves pumping.

The 34-year-old will be taking the stage for the first time in almost 10-years this Sunday, as she is expected to open the show with a bang.

The star spoke to 103.5 KTU's Cubby and Carolina In the Morning, where she explained that she was ready and excited to perform on that stage once again, but that she was definitely feeling the nerves.

"I think there's something in the air at the VMAs. It's like electric. I can't really explain it," the "Make Me...," singer explained on Friday, August 26, according to Just Jared. "Every time I've performed there, it's always been one of those really big, nerve-wracking experiences, and the people that come - those celebrities - are just so much fun and different. ... I still get very nervous."

It would make sense for Spears to be a little nervous to perform on the stage, as the last time she gave a performance at the VMA's was when she sang "Gimme More" back in 2007 and was highly criticized, with some saying she was lip-synching and looked very disoriented throughout the performance.

However, on the other hand, Spears also has some of the most iconic performances in VMA history under her belt, which include her "I'm a Slave 4 U" performance, with the yellow python in 2001, as well as her kiss with Madonna back in 2003.
