Looks like Samsung is pulling out all the stops to make the Galaxy S8 one of the much-awaited mobile phones in 2017. It is still unclear if the South Korean electronics company will release the Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Congress in February or March next year but leaks of what to expect with the new Samsung flagship phone are circulating online.
According to Follow News, Samsung may also be pushing for the release of the Galaxy S8 to make consumers forget about the dangerous Galaxy Note7. The Galaxy Note7 was recalled globally because of its exploding batteries. The FIA has even set restrictions regarding the phone's use, charging and storage for passengers. People who have purchased the Galaxy Note7 were asked to return their phones to phone retailers as soon as possible.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a 4K screen for sharper, high-quality videos in virtual reality games. It was also rumored that the Galaxy S8 will be able to perform faster, even more efficient than the S7, S7 Edge and the Note7. It may be equipped with the Snapdragon or an Exynos 8895 processor and a Mali-G71 graphics chip. The Mali-G71 is rumored to be 1.8 times more powerful than the graphics chip of the S7 which is also VR and 4K video ready.
The Galaxy S8 screens will have Samsung's signature curved screen.
With the popularity of dual rear cameras, Mashable said that the Galaxy S8 would also sport double rear cameras. Samsung may also apply two cameras for improved zoom performance just like in an iPhone 7.
And while most new flagship phones are doing away with a regular headphone jack, Samsung points out that they will not be removing the headphone jack. The Galaxy S8 will also likely feature fast wireless charging plus will also sport IP68 water resistance. The company will also bring back its expandable storage feature in the Galaxy S8.
Samsung is facing a tough time lately as not just their new phones are exploding lately but there are also reports of old products catching fire or exploding while in use. The company hopes that the Galaxy S8 will continue to represent the company's dedication to product quality.
