HP has just met its match at the close of 2016, after Apple showed signs of wanting to launch their iMac 2016 version at Q4 2016. HP's Envy AIO has pretty much dominated the desktops domain for the larger part of the year.
But this bound to change if Apple release the iMac Pro this year. It's expected that the new iMac will feature some great improvements in terms of the Graphic chips and gaming experience.
This can be drawn from what CIO published on the matter. According to their reports, Apple might be tempted to get some Polaris graphic chips from AMD, so as to boost the desktop's gaming aptitudes. The Envy AIO outdid the previous iMac from graphic related issues, but this is will change if Apple improves on graphics in the iMac 2016.
Luckily, the iMac won't have many issues to do with the resolution since the current iMac already has a 5K resolution. It is something that HP is struggling to maintain in their subsequent desktops.
TechRadar has pointed out that the 27-inch iMac will be best used for heavy tasks like video editing, judging from its powerful Intel processor and wide display. Not much will change though, in the design specs on the new iMac. But it sure is better than HP's Envy AIO.
For one, the iMac feels a bit solid and sturdier than the conservative Envy AIO's monitor. The iMac's Operating System also needs to be updated to Apple's OS X10.12, if it's is going to keep up with other upcoming desktop models.
Intel's Kaby Lake processors seem to be a favorite of Apple. So, it's likely that the iMac will run on one of these processors. All the same, the iMac 2016 may possibly be an expensive affair judging from the fact that their current iMac is still at the top of its sales.
The iMac Pro is expected to carry a price tag of up to $3199 on the upper side.
