With the end of 'Teen Wolf' in MTV, its creators now adapt for something that might place itself in the spot that 'Teen Wolf' left. MTV now has H.G. Wells' 'War of the Worlds' in the making, but instead of movie, it is now on TV series
Jeff Davis and writer Andrew Cochran as reported working with H.G. Wells classic 'War of the Worlds'. As reported by Hollywood Reporter, this new science fiction series to be aired on MTV was first published in 1897as one of the earliest stories between men versus extraterrestrials.
Before it has been adapted several times via radio, features, TV and more and in 2005 Tom Cruise starred in the film. Now, 'War of the Worlds' will return on TV, are Scott and Stiles fans ready to say goodbye to their ultimate bromance?
According to Teen Vogue, 'War of the Worlds' story was famously adapted into a radio play in 1938, and its narration was so life-like that some listeners even believed that there's an alien invasion happening in IRL. This new MTV adaptation of 'War of the Worlds' will be produced by Jeff David, Jeff Kwatinetz, and Josh Barry.
Josh Barry is known to be the grandson of Gene Barry, who starred in the 1953's Paramount film version of 'War of the Worlds' which was directed by Byron Haskin. Now, Davis and Cochran will remake 'War of the Worlds' together with the MTV.
Teen Wolf is expected to end its sixth and final season in 2017. 'War of the Worlds' in series is scheduled to join a series of dramas that include adaptations of 'Scream' and 'The Shannara Chronicles.'
Reboots are now in high demand in cables and streaming outlets. Some reboots which are now in the works are Magnum P.I. in ABC, The Lost Boys in The CW, Dynasty in The CW, The Departed in Amazon, Varsity Blues in CMT and L.A. Law which does not yet have a networked attached.
Hence, there is no release date yet for H.G. Wells 'War of the Worlds' series; fans can still focus on 'Teen Wolf.' Instead of waiting for aliens, try finishing the werewolves' series first.
