Star Wars Episode 8: Latest "leaked" details on eighth installment

According to the "leaked" details, the eighth installment, which is said to be titled "Star Wars: Echoes of the Dark Side" will bring a lot to the table.  Reports say that the movie would follow three plots (one for Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren), which would meet on the film's third act.

According to MovieWeb, Rey (Daisy Ridley) reportedly starts off with her training with Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on a remote planet, training how to use the lightsaber and the force. Reports also say that she will have a conversation with Maz Kanata and Heyden Christiansen's Anakin Skywalker, though it was not specified if it was a dream sequence or a telepathic communication.

During this time, details regarding the past would be revealed, like how Supreme Leader Snoke seduced Kylo Ren to the Dark side, which led to him killing all of Luke's Jedi trainees. Luke and some others survived, so he sent Rey to Jakku to save her, where her mother dies during an attack.

Finn (John Boyega), reports claim, would be with Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) on a beautiful city that appears to have a "shady, sinister underpinning". They would be joined by Chala (or Aya, according to other sources), played by indie film actress Kelly Marie Tran, a character that, based on the reports, would be dealing with both the Resistance and the First Order.

Another interesting character leaked is Lord Vikram, to be played by Benecio del Toro, the interim leader of The Republic, who Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) would be butting heads with. The leaks go on as to detail how Leia would want to attack the first order, while he wants to re-establish the communication lines destroyed by the attack of the Starkiller Base from the last film.

The Republic is reportedly protected by a massive shield that can withstand the attack of the First Order.  Finn unintentionally gets the codes for the shields, but was taken from him by Chala. As the shields went down, it allowed the First Order to attack, and taking Finn, Poe and Leia as hostages. Kylo Ren proceeds to torture Finn, intending to bring Rey out of hiding. Rey senses this, and heads to him, Luke Skywalker in tow.

There are also hints of a funeral for Han Solo, meant to give the character a proper closure. And according to the leaked information, some other characters may appear at the funeral, including a "little green Jedi Master".

Another news from ChattSportsNet  the biggest "bomb" the rumors brought is about Rey herself. As the sources shared, Rey may not be Luke's daughter, nor a Kenobi (as popular speculations may suggest), but may actually a reincarnation of Luke's Father, Anakin. The leaked information suggests that "the chosen ones are reincarnated by the Force when the universe is at an imbalance, which happens on a semi-regular basis".

While all these rumors and spoilers were not confirmed nor denied by neither LucasFilm nor Disney, it would be best to take these with a grain of salt. A lot of these would certainly be confirmed or debunked once the trailers start popping up.
