Looks like fans of Jerome in "Gotham" will have an unexpected treat. The sinister villain will be returning to the series sooner that what was planned. Cameron Monaghan will be back as Jerome in season 3 of "Gotham."
Gotham City is now dark and teeming with villains after the Penguin won the latest mayoral elections in episode 4. Villains now roam free in the city such as Poison Ivy however, there is one bad guy that is yet to appear and that is the Joker. Followers of ''Gotham" believe that Jerome is the embodiment of the Joker and they were wrecked when creators of the series killed him in season 2.
Because of insistent public demand for the return of Jerome, "Gotham" creators are bringing back the character this season. Rumors say that there are even hints that this is going to be done soon.
Melty reported that the show's executive producer, John Stephens, revealed that Jerome will be coming back to "Gotham" in season 3. He even posted this news in his Instagram account. David Mazouz, who plays Bruce in the series, also said that he was happy that his favorite villain will be returning to the show. David captioned his post with the words: "A #gotham favorite villain may be coming back to @gothamonfox sooner than you think."
Cinema Blend reported that if Jerome would return, this could mean that he would be resurrected from the dead. The series would probably reveal that the entire death was a scam and that the hospital and the morgue that got his body faked everything.
The Penguin was the star of episode 4 and it also featured the arrival of Nygma's Riddler. There were also new characters introduced such as the new police department captain, Michael Chiklis and the new girl in town Silver St. Cloud.
"Gotham" airs every Monday night on Fox.
