Lily Collins Twilight? 'The Mortal Instruments' Actress Auditioned For Kristen Stewart’s Role of Bella in Twilight

Lily Collins told Crave that she auditioned for Kristen Stewart's role of Bella on Twilight when she first became an actress.

Collins will star in the upcoming film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones this August, a movie also based on a young adult book. But several years ago, Collins, now 24, had one of the first auditions of her career for Twilight.

"I was new on the scene, new at auditioning and it was always kind of this, 'What's going to happen?' everyone in the waiting room waiting for you. One of those anxious days as a young actor," Collins told Crave.

Collins also said that The Hunger Games was in her sights as well, but said that ultimately each actor or actress gets the roles that are right for them.

"I remember hearing about the book and then hearing about the movie, but Jennifer (Lawrence) is just perfect as Katniss and I'm so excited for her and happy for her," Collins said.

Collins is the daughter of singer-songwriter Phil Collins, who played drums and sang for the English progressive rock band Genesis before he embarked on a solo career. Collins had his daughter with second wife, Jill Tavelman.

The 24-year-old actress previously starred in The Blind Side, Abduction and Mirror, Mirror.
