FOX's long time running crime procedural drama will finally say good bye to avid fans. The network had announced that "Bones" will have the beginning of its last run on January 3, 2017.
"Bones" follows the story of the Army sniper turned FBI Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and the highly intelligent Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) as they solve crimes together and ended up being with each other and having a family.
Ever since "Bones" first aired in September 2005, the main duo of the series has gained a growing number of avid fans. Along with the other members of the Jeffersonian Institute and the FBI, the series showed an insanely good mixture of the brains and muscles; action, drama and sometimes comedy, which made viewers wanting to watch more of the series.
As reported by Premiere Date, it was announced by Fox's chairman Dana Walden in February that "Bones" will return for Season 12. It was reported that the network was able to reach an agreement with both Boreanaz and Deschanel that made way for a final season.
The final season of "Bones" will have twelve episodes. TV Line had reported that Season 12 will showcase return of "fan-favorite guest stars". Eddie McClintock will also be back reprising his role as FBI Agent Tim "Sully" Sullivan. McClintock appeared in Season 2 of the series and his character dated Brennan. When Sullivan's offer to sail to the Carribean, in a boat he named after Brennan, was declined, he was never mentioned again after that in the succeeding seasons.
The final season of "Bones" will have an "epic serial killer storyline". A wedding should also be expected in the final season and a new undercover mission. Booth and Brennan's marriage was also reported to be put to the test.
Hart Hanson's creation will finally say good bye and will give closure to its fans that have been loyal through the years. "Bones" Season 12 will have a new timeslot on FOX, it will be aired on Tuesdays starting on January 3, 2017 at 9:00 p.m.
