“Sausage Party 2" confirmed? Seth Rogen plans for “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”- style sequel

"Sausage Party" creators have confirmed a sequel. After earning $136 million at the box office, it is possible that this R-rated animated movie will feature a part two. Creator Seth Rogen also confirmed that "Sausage Party" had an original ending but was later scrapped. This alternate ending will instead be a part of the movie's sequel.

Birth.Movies.Death has posted an interview by Seth Rogen way back August, just barely a week after the movie premiered. In the movie, the foods in Shopwell were last seen moving into a portal to take them to an actual world. Rogen said that this was actually not the original ending and this was removed to be used for the sequel.

"The Interview" actor said that if the original ending was the first scene of the sequel then it's not what viewers would want it to be. He mentioned the idea of creating a live-action/animated film just like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" for "Sausage Party's" sequel.

Movie News Guide also reported about "Sausage Party 2" and mentioned that the animated movie was more than just a Rated R film. It actually communicated ideas on religious intolerance and afterlife existence, the report said. It also mentioned that no one knows exactly why directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon came up with two endings.

There were also rumors that most of the animators for the film were not credited for their work. Backlash for the film directors and producers also continued online with anonymous commenters saying that the reason why the production cost was low was that the directors would remand artists to work overtime for free. Issues of termination if the artist did not work late or if he did not follow a deadline also surfaced online.

Meanwhile, the alternate ending of "Sausage Party" was recently released as a part of a feature of the movie's HD release.
