Season 12 of Fox's beloved procedural television series "Bones" is fast approaching. When the network reached an agreement with the show's main casts, David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, they are fast in getting things in its place for a January release.
As Deadline reported, a return of fan favorites is expected. An old flame, a wedding and an "epic killer storyline" are also to look forward to in "Bones" Season 12. It was earlier known that the "old flame" who will return in season 12 is Eddie McClintock as Tim "Sully" Sullivan who dated Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) in Season 2.
Currently, making the news of her return to the show is Betty White. The 94-year old actress guest starred in Season 11 of "Bones" said TV Line, and played Dr. Beth Mayer. Dr. Mayer is the world's most experienced forensic anthropologist and is also tack and fabulous. White will reprise her role in the upcoming season.
She was reported to appear in the tenth episode of "Bones" Season 12. The finale season will be comprised of twelve chapters to conclude the storyline between the Jeffersonian Institute team members and that of the FBI.
White had recently finished the sixth and final season of "Hot in Cleveland". She earned an Emmy nomination for her role as Elka in the show. In her more than 70 years in the industry, White has won seven Emmy Awards.
Her role as Dr. Beth Mayer is actually not very far from real life, experienced, still sharp for her age and all the while keeping her glamour. Her seventh Emmy was in 2010 when she hosted the long time running comedy show "Saturday Night Live". That episode of the show became one of the highest-rated episodes in the show's history.
"Bones" Season 12 will be aired on Fox starting January 3, 2017. Among other things to expect is that Booth and Brennan's marriage will be put to the test.
