The 34-year-old "Supernatural" actor, Jared Padalecki, announced on Monday that he will soon be a father of three. Jared made the announcement that he and his wife are expecting an addition to the family when he appeared in the show "Live! with Kelly" with Kelly Ripa and that day's co-host Richard Curtis.
Jared had teased of the delightful news in Twitter a few days before his appearance in the show, saying that he has something super cool to share. "When I started the show (Supernatural) I was 22 years old, I was a single guy, kind of doing my thing," Padalecki said. "Now I'm 12 years older, I'm a father of two now, about to be a father of three in March" he added getting applause and cheers from the audience as reported by People.
His wife, Genevieve Cortese-Padalecki, who was just offstage, brightly beamed as Jared made the announcement, her baby bump already visible to the camera. The couple met in season four of Jared's long time running hit series with Jensen Ackles, "Supernatural". Genevieve had a recurring role as the demon Ruby.
ET reported of Jared calling his falling-in-love for Genevieve "special and unexpected. The couple married in 2010 and already has two boys together. The eldest Thomas is four years old and the youngest, Shepherd, is two.
During his appearance on the show "Live! with Kelly", the actor told of how he and his wife got together, although, he said that he tell his friends another story. The truth, he said, was he already found Genevieve to be cute and smart.
One of the actor's pet peeves is being interrupted while reading. His wife, co-actor back then in "Supernatural", would always read and he finds himself interrupting her then while she was reading. Later, he found her to be awesome and asked her out to lunch. Lunch made it to dinner and eventually, two years after they tied the knot.
