Apple iPhone 8 rumors and leaks are uncontainable, and now the latest smartphone is said to have a larger, curved screen that extends to edges.
According to Yahoo News, recent rumors suggest that Apple might borrow a page from Samsung's playbook. On top of this, the new iPhone 8 will come with a larger, curved displays base from the note sent to Barclays Research.
Furthermore, Barclays Research analysts believe that Apple will now stitch from the current 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and a 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus to a large 5 to 5.8 -inch displays for the iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 might also sport on OLED screen which will then extend edge-to-edge with virtually no bezels, perhaps a little bit similar to Xiaomi's Mi Mix.
The research note received by the Barclays Research corroborates that KGI Securities analysts Ming-Chi Kuo's statement in March that the said Apple iPhone 8 will launch a 5.8- inch screen with a curved display and glass casing if possible to be next year, as per Mac Rumors. Also, a Japanese website Nikkei claims that the larger-screened iPhone 8 will be a premium model.
Additionally, it has been widely rumored that Apple will release a bezel-free design ant the iconic Home button will be removed on this iPhone 8. However, this rumor about removing the Home button is said to be unbelievable as Barclays Research mentioned.
Meanwhile, it does expect that the screen will extend vertically and horizontally as well. Consequently, if this larger, bezel-less, curved screens of the Apple iPhone 8 rumors would end up being true, it would definitely the be the first screen size increase since 2014 during the release of Apple iPhone 6.
