What makes a game fun and draws people to play over and over again? A simple game concept? Giving people a bit of a challenge?
Google's new slew of Artificial Intelligence tools features a game called "Quick Draw." It is basically a 6 round game with 20 seconds each, the player will have to draw the given object (example: Leg, Truck, Cat) within the time. As posted by Time, the "neural network" will start guessing the moment users start doodling their drawings.
Of course, Quick Draw won't always guess right, but as people play it gathers new information from the people who interact with it. The amazing part is the AI's learning ability to identify individual human drawings. To a human being it may be an easy task but for a machine, it requires a huge data base of just one "object" to correctly indentify that "object" based from the different hand drawings of people across the land.
Quick Draw is merely one of the many Artificial Experiments Google has on the works, these new experimental and interactive games are made by creative programmers, artists, and even individuals with no prior knowledge of AI technology or machineries. According to The Verge, Google is now accepting new ideas and submissions for their AI program that initiates space for creative play and room for possibilities.
Quick Draw, the self learning, doodle identifying technology is starting to sweep the internet with its very amusing and enjoyable qualities. Up for a quick game? Open up another tab and check it out. It's fun and guaranteed to get players on it for more than one round.
